Surmount Tablet Clamping Review and Giveaway

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

After getting an iPad earlier this year, I was finding many ways and reasons to use it. I was starting to take pictures with it and starting to take videos of my kids and special events. The only problem that I kept coming across was that my hands and or arms would get tired of holding my device. I would have to hit pause, take a break and then continue. When the opportunity arose to review the Surmount I leaped at the chance because of how much I knew I would use it. And maybe you noticed some of the YouTube videos I have done where I no longer had to use one hand to hold the device and one hand to show what I was doing. One of those videos was how to make a bow tie. The first half of the video was me using one hand, the last half was me using the Surmount. During the video you will notice in the beginning that I was shaky and the last half the video was still. I am just loving the Surmount because it’s just not meant for your tablet but you can also use it with your smart phone. The Surmount will mount to most surfaces that are 4 inches or less in width. Th Surmount can be adjusted two different ways one of the ways is adjusting the clip down or up depending on how wide the surface is that you are trying to attach the Surmount to. The second would be to tighten the screw knob on the bottom.   imageAnother thing I like about the surmount is that it has a very bendable arm which can be adjusted anyway you need it to be; up, down, sideways and even cockeyed. Another feature of the surmount that I really like is the ball that is on the top and attached to the arm and plate that holds your device. Because of the  ball and the bendable arm there really isn’t any way you can’t move your device. Now the only I didn’t like about the surmount that I feels could and would be an easy fix is the bottom screw that is attached to the flat surface has a piece of rubber on it to help the Surmount get a firm and secure fit, started to come off only after a few uses. The glue that holds the rubber down really needs to be stronger.   Now other than that being wrong. I love this device and it really has made my life easier and no more straining my hands or arms to hold the iPad or even my smart phone. I would use it for my ipad to study for my insurance exam. It would really help me focus on what I am reading that focusing on holding the ipad.
